What is the story behind Old Bones Chilli Co?
Old Bones is the brain child of our founder Josh Ngaire. Josh decided to combine his 15 years experience as a fine dinning chef with his love of chillies to start Old Bones Chilli Co
What inspired the name "Old Bones"?
According to Josh, 'Old Bones' is a reflection of his experience of his trade as a chef; and accordingly anyone who has been doing "their thing" for a long, long time is an 'old bone'
What is Old Bones sauces heat range?
We specialise in the mild to medium heat range, the one exception is our Jawbreaker which is very hot by virtue of being a Carolina Reaper sauce
Are Old Bones sauces Vegan and Gluten Free?
Yes, all of our products are Vegan & Gluten free
Why is the Jalapeno & Garlic Pepper Sauce so thin?
It's the recipe. Our Jalapeno & Garlic Pepper Sauce is a Louisiana style hot sauce - which are generally thinner than other hot sauce varieties. This is due to the fundamental ingredients and production process.
How long is the shelf life?
Our best "Before Date" is two years from date of manufacture, which is found in each bottle. Note that "Best Before" does not mean "Use By". The sauce does not automatically lapse after two years.
Should I refrigerate my sauces?
We recommend sauces are refrigerated after opening. The "Best Before" date remains the same after opening
How long does fulfilment take?
We pride ourselves in very fast fulfilment. We usually fulfil orders the same day or next day at the latest.
